Names and faces in Manatee and Sarsota
Jacki Dezelski is the new president and chief executive officer of the Manatee Chamber of Commerce. Dezelski has been serving in the post on an interim basis and as executive vice president. She was named Florida Chamber Professional of the Year in 2015. Dezelski oversaw the launching of the Manatee Young Professionals program and served as a volunteer leader with numerous community organizations. She holds a master of business administration and a bachelor of fine arts from the University of Florida and also earned the Institute of Organizational Management credential from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
Lisa Carlton has been elected to the FCCI Insurance Group board of directors. Carlton is a former Florida senator and is co-owner and manager of Mabry Carlton Ranch Inc., a diverse agricultural business. She spent 14 years in public service to the people of Sarasota, Manatee and Charlotte counties, serving in the Florida House of Representatives from 1994 to 1998 and in the Florida Senate from 1998 to 2008. She is a gubernatorial appointee to the state’s Constitution Revision Commission, a founding member of the Florida Historic Capitol Foundation, a member of the board of directors for the Gulf Coast Community Foundation and a certified volunteer with the Guardian ad Litem program. Carlton is a graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School, earned her bachelor of arts degree from Stetson University and a juris doctorate from Mercer University School of Law.
Chris Iacobelli earned the Re/Max Platinum Club Award. The award recognizes high-producing Re/Max associates based on performance. Iacobelli is an associate at the Re/Max Platinum Realty’s Lakewood Ranch office.
Jessica Friday, Ray Powers, Harold Osban, Dan Casey, Esmeralda Rico, and Natalie Smithers, joined Keller Williams Realty Select as real estate agents in various locations. Friday currently works as property manager for Longboat Key Towers Association Inc., is a Florida licensed community association manager and holds an associate’s degree in accounting from the State College of Florida. Powers previously worked as fixed operations director for numerous global companies. Osban is owner/investor in residential rental real estate, is a member of Landlords Association of Manatee, the Real Estate Connection ad the Realtor Association of Sarasota and Manatee. Osban is a graduate of the University of Florida and received a master of business administration degree from the University of South Florida. Casey previously worked for a large telecommunications company and for the Florida Department of Transportation. Casey has a bachelor’s degree in economics. Rico holds a business degree with a concentration in marketing from the University of Texas in San Antonio. Smithers previously worked as a teacher and as a leasing agent. Smithers holds a bachelor of science degree in education from Georgia Southern University.
