Q: What was the best business advice you ever received?
A: Customer service is always number one and right behind it would be quality of work delivered. I am adamant about that. You have to take care of the product and the customer.
Q: If you could choose another profession, what would it be?
A: I love what I am doing now but I would go back to working in the marine industry in which I worked 21 years. I miss working on boats. It felt more like a hobby than a job. It also provided me with the knowledge and hands-on experience I now apply to my own company, like building cabinets, upholstery, designing and working with engines, electrical, plumbing, carpentry ... you name it, I’ve done it.
Q: What is the biggest risk you’ve taken in your career?
A: Starting my own business. Being an unknown, no one knows your business, products or services. It’s a risk and a huge task to start from scratch.
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you start?
A: My wife and I would go to Hawaii and then Alaska. Both for their nature and breathtaking beauty.
