The United States Postal Service plans to hire 400 casual mail handlers for the holiday season in seven locations across Florida, including Sarasota, Tampa and St. Petersburg.

The temporary job pays $12 per hour, and applications will be accepted through Saturday at usps.com/careers. According to the USPS, the work period will run from Nov. 12-Jan. 6.

The USPS is also hiring temporary season workers in Lakeland, Lake Mary, Melbourne and Orlando.
