Salmonella found in a finished product of macadamia nuts. This caused a recall

Finding salmonella in one lot of macadamia nuts caused Now Health Group to recall a different lot of unsalted Now Real Food Raw Macadamia Nuts.

According to the company-written, FDA-posted recall notice, Now Health found salmonella from standard testing of one lot of nuts. That lot was made with the same raw ingredients as lot No. 3141055, which had already been released and is the lot now being recalled.

The lot in which the salmonella was found has been quarantined.

Anyone with lot No. 3141055, expiration date 01/2021, should return the nuts to wherever they were bought for a full refund.

Those with questions can call Now’s Customer Service at 888-NOW-FOOD (669-3663), Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Eastern time.
