When is this new Mexican restaurant opening in Manatee County? What we know
A Mexican restaurant planned for Parrish is expected to open before the end of the year.
Aqua Tequila, located in the Creekside Commons shopping plaza at 8950 U.S. 301 N. #133 in Parrish, is targeting the first week of December to open, according to a Benderson Development spokesperson.
Benderson is the developer of the plaza, which features Lowe’s as the anchor store. Crunch Fitness, Kelly’s Roast Beef, Five Guys and Good Liquid Brewing Co. are also in the shopping center.
According to SunBiz records, Aqua Tequila is part of a locally owned family restaurant group.
Other restaurants the company owns include Pink Tequila in North Port, Lime Tequila in Port Charlotte and Pineapple Tequila in Venice.
The company has plans to open Cherry Tequila off Lakewood Ranch Boulevard near Interstate 75 in North Sarasota, according to records.
Aqua Tequila to open soon in Parrish
Each restaurant shares a similar menu. They feature several different types of nachos, fajitas, quesadillas, enchiladas, burritos and chimichangas.
The restaurants also offer steak, seafood, pork, chicken and vegetarian dishes.
The “Tequila” restaurants have an à la carte menu, where diners can pick a few taco options including Mexican street tacos that use a soft corn tortilla stuffed with your choice of meat, topped with cilantro and onions and served with homemade hot sauce and lime.
Each restaurant offers margaritas, wine, bottled beer, sangria and other alcoholic beverages.
Aqua Tequila was first announced via a Creekside Commons social media post in February 2024.
