Oar & Iron seafood and steak restaurant opens in Manatee County
Oar & Iron Raw Bar & Grill, a scratch-kitchen concept specializing in seafood, steak and craft cocktails, opened this week in Parrish’s Creekside Commons shopping plaza.
The restaurant at 8710 U.S. 301 N. is the third location for Oar & Iron, but the first for the area. The other two locations are in Naples and Fort Myers.
“Our first two Florida openings showed us just how much these communities were craving an elevated but comfortable place to gather over fresh seafood, steaks, and cocktails,” RAVentures Hospitality regional director Jeff Doward said in a news release. “Now, with our third location in Parrish, we’re excited to continue building momentum and welcome new guests into the Oar & Iron experience — and our growing loyalty program.”
The seafood and steak restaurant is part of RAVentures Hospitality brands, a Massachusetts-based company that also opened Kelly’s Roast Beef — right next door to Oar & Iron — in May. The recently announced La Diperie ice cream shop is also planned to open nearby.
Oar & Iron can serve more than 225 diners in the nearly 5,500-square-foot space, the news release said.

The restaurant’s “Oar” section of its menu features seafood dishes such as fish and chips, seared ahi tuna, roasted lobster tail and more.
The “Iron” portion of the menu offers New England steak tips, filet mignon, New York strip steak, boneless ribeye steak and various other dishes such as the chicken caprese.
Oar & Iron also serves several salads, soups, burgers, a New England lobster roll and appetizers.
Each dish is prepared to order, which allows diners to make any modifications, the news release said.
Food allergy friendly menu
The restaurant also aims to offer an inclusive eating experience with a food-allergy-friendly menu.
“All allergy-related meals are marked by an allergen pick and presented to the table by a manager who maintains current Food Safety and Allergen Awareness certifications,” the news release said.
Oar & Iron’s website says “100%” of its menu items are either gluten-free or can be modified to be gluten-free, and restaurant staff will also work to accommodate other food allergies.
Restaurant hours and info
The restaurant brand first opened in 2024.
“Oar & Iron started with a simple idea: What if everyone could have exactly what they want,” the company says on its website.
The Parrish location is open daily for lunch and dinner. Regular hours are 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
