What’s coming to this new Bradenton shopping center? A Publix store and more

One of Bradenton’s newest neighborhoods has several dining and shopping options minutes away from its residential community.

SeaFlower’s Village Center is the commercial development near the homes being built south of the Cortez Road West and 75th Street West intersection.

Publix is anchoring the plaza, which has a planned 140,000 square feet assigned for shopping, dining and office space during SeaFlower’s first phase.

On Friday, commercial realtor Casto announced the following businesses have signed leases for the Village Center:

Dutch Bros. began as a pushcart coffee stand in Grants Pass, Oregon, in 1992. The company previously filed paperwork with Manatee County Development Services to build its first Manatee County shop at 2108 Cortez Road W. next to Smuggler’s Adventure Golf in a plaza anchored by The Home Depot.

Whataburger recently filed paperwork to build its iconic made-to-order fast-food burger restaurant in the SeaFlower Village Center. The Texas-based chain previously submitted plans to build a store in the Marketplace at Heritage Harbour plaza off State Road 64 and Interstate 75.

Playa Bowls is a popular smoothie and acai shop that began with a food stand in New Jersey. The SeaFlower Village Center location would be the company’s first in Manatee County. They have a shop in Sarasota off U.S. 41 near Sarasota Memorial Hospital.

Pecan Jacks is an ice cream and candy kitchen store based in Santa Rosa, Florida. This would be the company’s first foray into Manatee County.

Potbelly’s started in the 1977 in Chicago and the company’s inclusion at the SeaFlower Village Center is its first Manatee County location. Currently, Pinellas and Hillsborough County are the nearest locations for Potbelly Sandwich Works.

As part of SeaFlower’s first phase, 332 apartments and 120 hotel rooms are accompanying the 140,000 square feet earmarked for office and retail space.
