A new coffee chain is coming to Manatee County, building records say

A coffee shop chain is planning its first Manatee County location.

According to building records, Dutch Bros. Coffee filed a pre-application to build a nearly 1,000-square-foot store at 2108 Cortez Road W. in Bradenton.

The coffee shop will have a dual drive-thru and 13 parking spaces, according to building records.

Manatee County’s first Dutch Bros. Coffee will be built next to Smuggler’s Cove Adventure Golf near Carrabba’s Italian Grill on the north side of Cortez Road West in the same plaza as The Home Depot, records say.

Dane and Travis Boersma started Dutch Bros. Coffee as a pushcart in Grants Pass, Oregon, in 1992, according to company history. They expanded in 2000 with their first franchise and currently have shops in several states, including more than a dozen in Florida.

The closest Dutch Bros. for Manatee County residents is in Tampa. Among the beverage choices, customers can choose from a menu showcasing seasonal flavors, classic coffees, protein coffees, smoothies, matchas, shakes, energy drinks, snacks and more.

The Golden Eagle and Annihilator are two Dutch Bros. favorite drinks. The Golden Eagle is an espresso with caramel and vanilla breve, and a caramel drizzle. A breve uses half-and-half with an espresso base.

The Annihilator is an espresso with a chocolate macadamia nut breve. Some classic coffee concoctions from Dutch Bros. include a mocha, cold brew, latte, Americano, nitro and oat milk latte.

For snacks, Dutch Bros. serves muffin tops and granola bars. But the beverages are Dutch Bros.’ signature.
