Manatee County’s new Chick-fil-A restaurant announces grand opening date
Bradenton’s newest Chick-fil-A has an opening date.
Located at 6010 14th St. W., the popular fast-food restaurant opens Thursday, May 15. It’s the fifth Chick-fil-A location in Manatee County, and it’s located in the Bayshore Gardens shopping center where Duff’s Buffet once stood.
Florida native Nathan Anderson, who has nearly a decade of experience operating a Chick-fil-A in Colorado, is the franchise owner for the new Bayshore Gardens restaurant. The new store is expected to create 130 new jobs, a news release said.
“Our goal at Chick-fil-A Bayshore Gardens is to do more than serve great food — we want to create opportunities for our leaders to grow and make a difference,” Anderson said in a news release. “My family and I are honored to serve Bradenton and build a restaurant where guests, team members and the community feel valued and supported.”
Store hours are 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Delivery and catering options are available, too. Chick-fil-A is closed on Sundays.
The other locations in the county are at 4311 Manatee Ave. W., 4573 14th St. W., 5206 73rd Lane E. and 5489 University Parkway.
Bayshore Gardens Chick-fil-A opens soon
Duff’s Buffet closed in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Bradenton Herald previously reported. That building has been demolished and the new Chick-fil-A restaurant took its place at the corner of U.S. 41 and 60th Avenue West.
Chick-fil-A has additional expansion plans. In April, the company filed paperwork with Manatee County Development Services to bring its fast-casual restaurant to the Moccasin Wallow Road and Carter Road intersection in Parrish.
To celebrate the opening of the new restaurant, Anderson says Chick-fil-A will make a $25,000 donation to Feeding America, which supports hunger relief efforts in the Bradenton area.
The Bayshore Gardens restaurant will also participate in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table program, which donates surplus food at the end of the day to local food banks, shelters and nonprofits, according to a news release.
S. Truett Cathy founded Chick-fil-A in 1967. The family-owned company, with its signature chicken sandwiches, has more than 3,000 restaurants in the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico.
