A new Chick-fil-A is planned for Manatee County. Here’s where it’s going
Chick-fil-A is bringing another one of its popular fast-casual restaurants to Manatee County, records say.
According to paperwork recently filed with Manatee County Development Services, the company’s latest restaurant is coming near the Moccasin Wallow Road and Carter Road intersection in Parrish. It would mark the sixth Chick-fil-A for the county but the first one north of the Manatee River.
The Seaire community is currently being developed at the corner of Moccasin Wallow and Carter Road. Seaire is a 3,195-home community located roughly 1.5 miles east of Interstate 75, featuring a man-made lagoon and commercial areas.
According to Tampa-based Metro Development Group, the developer behind the Seaire project, Chick-fil-A is not listed as a future business for the commercial areas. Instead, they list Texas Roadhouse, Glory Days, Wendy’s, Slim Chickens and Aldi as dining and grocery options.
Reached for comment Tuesday morning, a Chick-fil-A spokesperson did not immediately provide information about the restaurant planned on Moccasin Wallow Road.
S. Truett Cathy founded the popular restaurant chain in Atlanta in 1967, according to company history. There are more than 3,000 restaurants in 48 states, Washington D.C., Puerto Rico and Canada.
