The first Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar in Manatee County has an opening date.

The upscale steakhouse is scheduled to open Monday, Feb. 10 at 8306 Tourist Center Drive, Bradenton, according to the restaurant’s website. The restaurant is replacing the former Ruby Tuesday in the Shoppes at University Town Center on the Manatee County side of University Parkway.

Plans to build the new Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse were confirmed in March 2023 after Ruby Tuesday filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection and closed the Tourist Center Drive store, the Bradenton Herald previously reported.

Fleming’s is one of four restaurant chains operated by Tampa-based Bloomin’ Brands. The group also owns Outback Steakhouse, Carrabba’s Italian Grill and Bonefish Grill.

Fleming’s menu offers variety of steaks and more

Fleming’s dinner menu features a variety of 10 dry-aged and wet-aged USDA Prime cuts such as a ribeye, tomahawk, New York strip and classic cuts such as the filet mignon.

To maximize flavors, each cut is aged at a 21-day minimum, according to the company. In addition to steaks, the restaurant’s dinner menu includes shareable appetizers and salads as well as seafood, chicken, pork and vegetarian entrees.

The restaurant will offer a separate lunchtime menu starting at 11 a.m. daily with a pared down selection of steaks, plus starters, soups, burgers, sandwiches, salads, grain bowls and more.

A “Social Hour” bar menu that will be offered from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. daily includes light bites and other casual fare like appetizers, burgers and sandwiches.

On the drinks side, Fleming’s menu features a curated selection of white, red and sparkling wines plus handcrafted cocktails (alcoholic and non-alcoholic options available). The bar list includes a full range of spirits.

The UTC location has a dining room and outdoor patio, the restaurant’s website said.

Bradenton Fleming’s will be 10th restaurant in Florida

In 1998, Paul Fleming and Bill Allen co-founded the restaurant in Newport Beach, California.

There are more than 65 locations in 25 states, with the UTC location marking the 10th Fleming’s restaurant in Florida. The nearest one to Bradenton are a Sarasota restaurant at 2001 Siesta Drive and a Tampa restaurant at 4342 W Boy Scout Blvd.
