Another new Panera Bread restaurant is coming to Manatee County, development records say

A new chain restaurant could be coming to The Landing at Heritage Harbour shopping center.

According to paperwork filed with Manatee County Development Services, a Panera Bread restaurant is in review for the plaza at 8546 Heritage Green Way off State Road 64 in East Manatee.

The planned Panera Bread location at The Landing at Heritage Harbour is 2,278 square feet, according to building records. It would mark the sixth location in the county. The shopping center is anchored by an Aldi grocery store.

According to concept plans, the shopping center lists Smoothie King, Bodybar Pilates, North Lakewood Dental, Elite Sports Medicine and Recovery Center and Circle K as businesses surrounding the Aldi near the Heritage Green and State Road 64 intersection.

The Smoothie King location is not set to open until early 2025, a company spokesperson previously confirmed to the Bradenton Herald.

Panera Bread is a chain restaurant that started in 1987 as the St. Louis Bread Company, according to company history. The company operates in 48 states with 192 locations in Florida.

The menu features a variety of bakery items such as bagels, pastries, bread, muffins, cookies as well as salads, soups and sandwiches.
