Smoothie King confirms plans to bring another location to Manatee County. What to know
A Smoothie King is planned for East Manatee, according to county building records.
The popular smoothie shop recently applied to build a store at 8546 Heritage Green Way off State Road 64 East in Bradenton. A Dairy Queen and Aldi grocery store are nearby.
It would be the seventh Smoothie King in Manatee County and the first one off State Road 64 East.
Reached for comment Tuesday afternoon, a Smoothie King spokesperson said the store is scheduled to open during the first quarter of 2025.
Steve and Cindy Kuhnau co-founded the chain in the 1970s, though the first franchise did not open until 1989 in New Orleans, according to company history. They sold the company to SK USA, Inc. in 2012.
Smoothie King’s menu features smoothies with multiple blend options under different categories.
