Trump has put us in constitutional crisis

Make no mistake about it. We are in a constitutional crisis. The rule of law has been put on death row.

For those of you out there who voted for Trump, it is time to realize what is happening. We are quickly approaching a cliff from which America will plunge into the abyss of third world , banana republic like, chaos. No matter how much he disagrees with the law, if the president is allowed to ignore and/or circumvent the law, our society will spiral into anarchy, rebellion, and destruction.

No leader, let alone our president, can shape their own reality to fit their own distorted views, and then feed it to the masses without consequences. Trump continues to spew false assertions in his effort to reshape the past and affect the future. He can’t say that Obama wiretapped his office. Obama did not have the authority to do so. He can’t fire the director in charge of the investigation of his campaign. That is a clear case of the obstruction of justice. He can’t lease a building from the government while being an official in that government. Check the lease terms. He can't hire his children, with or without pay, to serve official roles in his government. The anti-nepotism law of 1967 prevents this type of activity. He can’t hide his personal financial dealings from the public.

This isn’t rocket science, it’s common sense. It is impossible to determine his conflicts of interest if he will not divulge his interests. He is attacking principles of law and ethical conduct that have stood for decades as pillars of our great nation. If this individual is not stopped, the checks and balances that we were all so proud of in our Constitution will be henceforth totally irrelevant and ineffective.
