Winter storm causes flight cancellations at SRQ, TPA

There are numerous flight cancellations and delays Friday as parts of the United States brace for a large winter storm.

The Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport cancelled all flights to and from Charlotte, North Carolina on Friday. All other flights were listed on time as of 9:30 a.m. North Carolina and Tennessee have declared a state of emergency due to the storm.

The Tampa International Airport also cancelled Friday flights to and from North Carolina, as well as flights to Washington D.C., Philadelphia, Nashville, Atlantic City and Memphis.

Numerous morning flights to Atlanta, Nashville, Baltimore and others have been delayed.
