‘Regis and Kelly’ doubly lucky for Bradenton couple

BRADENTON — Who says lightning can’t strike twice?

Not Steve Jagosh and his wife, Tammy.

“He’s a lucky man,” she said.

How lucky?

Last February the Sysco Foods network administrator received a random phone call from “Live With Regis & Kelly,” and correctly answered a trivia question to win a trip-for-two to Hawaii for him and wife Tammy.

A perfect Valentine’s Day-and-29th wedding anniversary gift.

“A once in a lifetime deal,” said Jagosh, 54.

Or so he thought — until Monday about 9:15 a.m.

That’s when Jagosh received another random phone call from “Live With Regis & Kelly.”

The trivia question: What musical instrument does snowboard/skateboard savant Shaun White like to play?

The guitar, Jagosh answered correctly.

The prize: A week at the Tanque Verde Ranch in Tucscon, Ariz., at a future date.

Jagosh was flabbergasted by his good fortune.

“What are the odds?” he said. “I can see once, but twice in one year? Holy Cow!”

The only person more astounded was his wife, a vice-president/controller at Blake Medical Center.

“I thought he was pulling my leg when he called me,” said Tammy Jagosh, 48. “He said, ‘Happy anniversary — again!’ I still can’t believe it.”

They tape the show, watch it at night and enter its contests on-line.

They do homework on “Live With Regis & Kelly,” too.

Tammy Jagosh takes notes on what the hosts discuss and gives her husband a copy for work.

You never know when that call will come.

“Pretty crazy,” Steve Jagosh said. “I guess I have been lucky winning stuff.”

That’s why his wife told him to stop at the store on the way home Monday.

“I’ve got to make him buy some lottery tickets,” Tammy Jagosh said.
