2 arrested after neighbors fight over noisy dogs
MANATEE -- Two neighbors were charged with battery after they fought over noisy dogs, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.
Daniel Lara, 46, and Alexander Christian, 56, were arrested at 9:58 p.m. Tuesday in the 5500 block of 43rd Street Court East. According to the report, the argument began when Lara began hitting his shared wall with Christian and yelling about his dogs making noise. This reportedly knocked items off Christian's wall, so he went to his front yard to confront Lara.
According to the report, Christian approached Lara's son and began pushing him. Lara was outside with his son and struck Christian in the left arm with a baseball bat.
The argument continued and both men returned to their homes. Lara called 911 to report the incident.
Lara was charged with aggravated battery and held in Manatee County jail on $750 bond, according to the sheriff's office website.
Christian was charged with simple battery and released Wednesday from Manatee County jail on $500 bond.
