2 charged with using fake credit cards at Bradenton Wal-Mart
BRADENTON -- Two people were arrested Thursday evening after trying to use cloned credit cards to buy gift cards at Wal-Mart, according to the Bradenton Police Department.
Loss prevention employees of the Wal-Mart located at 5315 Cortez Road W. called police at 5:37 p.m. saying two suspects had used cloned credit cards at self-check out registers, according to a release.
Police saw Dayngel Fernandez and Indira Chaviano, both from Miami, swiping cloned credit cards and trying to purchase gift cards.
Police arrested both suspects and found other gift cards in their possession, which they said they "found on the side of the road."
Fernandez, 30, was charged with fraudulent use of a credit card. Chaviano, 25, was charged with grand theft.
