Bradenton woman cited for concealed weaponry, including bullets in bra

BRADENTON — A Bradenton woman has been charged with carrying a concealed firearm and possession of cocaine, according to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.

Maria Magdalena Jarquin-Ortiz, 35, was arrested at 2:20 a.m. Sunday at El Paisano Night Club, 5803 15th St. E., Bradenton.

A security guard at the club reportedly saw Jarquin-Ortiz with a firearm in her waistband. Deputies later removed it from her waistband.

A loaded magazine for the firearm was reportedly found inside Jarquin-Ortiz’s bra during a search. She reportedly told a deputy she was carrying the firearm for her boyfriend, who always gets searched at the club.

Jarquin-Ortiz was being held on bonds totaling $3,000.
