A Parrish man died around 6 a.m. Saturday in Sarasota County after a collision with a raised concrete curb caused his tractor-trailer to overturn, according to a Florida Highway Patrol press release.
Steven McNamara, 42, left the Interstate 75 exit ramp heading west on Fruitville Road, according to the release. He traveled across all three westbound lanes and hit the raised concrete curb on the south side of westbound Fruitville Road.
The tractor-trailer overturned on its left side onto the grass median. McNamara died from his injuries at the scene of the crash, according to FHP.
According to the report, McNamara was wearing his seat belt and alcohol was not involved.
