Rays/Rangers game sold out tonight
This just in from the Tampa Bay Rays:
onight’s game, Game 5 of the American League Division Series against the Texas Rangers, sold out at 11:30 a.m. today, the team announced.
Rays have sold out all 11 of their postseason games. For tonight’s game, the Rays removed the tarps from the upper deck at Tropicana Field, adding about 5,000 more seats, some of them obstructed. They will remain uncovered for any future postseason games.
The Rays removed the tarps for four postseason games in 2008. Since 2008, the Rays are 45-18 (.714) at home when playing in front of 30,000 or more fans at Tropicana Field (including postseason).
The team notes that fans may still find tickets on Stub Hub.
