Want to watch Pirates spring training next year? Here’s the schedule
The Pittsburgh Pirates announced their 2021 spring training schedule on Wednesday.
The Bucs have called Bradenton their spring home since 1969, and they kicked off this season in Manatee County in February before COVID-19 put baseball, and the rest of the sports world, on hiatus in March.
A total of 17 games are scheduled at LECOM Park, the Pirates’ home stadium in Bradenton.
The home opener is against the Atlanta Braves on Sunday, Feb. 28.
Other key highlights from the schedule include home games with the Red Sox on March 19 and 27, and the Yankees on March 23. Those games usually draw large crowds.
The Pirates also play the Twins on St. Patrick’s Day on March 17 and close out their home schedule with the Twins on March 29.
Ticket pricing and on-sale dates will be announced at a later date.
