Tortugas 4-4, Marauders 2-3
Daytona Beach The Bradenton Marauders (54-49) were swept by the Daytona Tortugas (55-46) on Friday night at Jackie Robinson Ballpark. The Tortugas used three solo home runs to take Game One 4-2, then rallied in the fifth inning to win Game 2 by a 4-3 score.
All-Star closer Jimmy Herget saved both games for the Tortugas. The Marauders loaded the bases in the seventh inning of the second game, but Herget struck out DH Chase Simpson to end the twin bill.
Wyatt Mathisen went 2 for 3 with a double in the first game. Elvis Escobar had a three-hit nightcap.
