Marauders take series finale from Flying Tigers
The Bradenton Marauders secured a 6-4 win in the series finale against the Flying Tigers (50-58) to maintain a 2.5 game deficit in the standings behind Fort Myers.
Right-handed starter Bret Helton (7-1) fired seven innings to earn the victory.
Reliver Geoff Hartlieb recorded the final seven outs, striking out four to earn the save.
Second baseman Logan Ratledge powered Bradenton offense.
Ratledge bunted for an RBI single in the third inning, nailed a game-tying double to even the score 3-3 in the sixth, and doubled again in the ninth to drive home an insurance run.
Bradenton and Lakeland split the season series four game apiece.
