George leads Bradenton over Dunedin 8-4
Jordan George had two hits and four RBIs as the Bradenton Marauders topped the Dunedin Blue Jays 8-4 on Sunday.
Dunedin took a 3-2 lead in the first after Bradley Jones hit a three-run home run.
Bradenton answered in the next half-inning, scoring five runs to take the lead for good. George hit a two-run double en route to the four-run lead.
The Marauders tacked on another run in the sixth when George hit an RBI single, bringing home Will Craig.
Dunedin missed a scoring opportunity in the eighth, when Jones hit into a double play with the bases loaded to end the inning.
Bradenton starter Pedro Vasquez (6-3) picked up the win despite allowing three runs over five innings. Opposing starter Conor Fisk (3-7) took the loss in the Florida State League game after allowing seven runs and five hits over 1 2/3 innings.
Bradenton improved to 5-2 against Dunedin this season.
