Makeup football games for Out-of-Door Academy and Lakewood Ranch have been canceled due to continued rainy conditions.

The Thunder had their Week 1 game in Fort Myers moved from Friday to Monday due to heavy thunderstorms that hit Southwest Florida.

However, continued wet conditions forced Sunday’s decision to cancel the game.

ODA was scheduled to face Fort Myers Canterbury. The Thunder are slated to return to Lee County to take on Fort Myers Gateway Charter at 7 p.m. on Friday.

Lakewood Ranch High was scheduled to play at Cape Coral Ida Baker on Monday at 5 p.m. in another game from this past Friday that was postponed.

Palmetto and Southeast High postponed their Friday game to Saturday, before postponing it again and have yet to determine a makeup date.

Manatee, Bayshore, IMG White and Saint Stephen’s canceled their opening games on Friday.

Braden River, Cardinal Mooney, Bradenton Christian and IMG Blue were the lone area programs to complete a game.

The Pirates won Thursday in Lake Buena Vista, the Cougars won Friday in Fort Myers and the Panthers lost Friday in Fort Myers.

IMG’s Blue team defeated Chandler (Ariz.) on the road Saturday night on ESPNU.
