The scoop: With a season finale against one-loss Cardinal Mooney looming, Bayshore has its last serious chance to avoid a winless season with a Class 5A-District 11 game against Lemon Bay. ... The Bruins are coming off their best performance, scoring a season high and allowing a season low during a 22-14 loss to Arcadia DeSoto County. Wide receiver Miguel Rodriguez caught seven passes for 106 yards and ranks in the top 10 in Manatee County in receiving yards. ... Bayshore will have to contend with Manta Rays running back Brayden Curry, a first-team All-Area selection by Sun Coast Media Group last year with 583 rushing yards this season.
