The Mustangs’ defense has been among the worst in Manatee County this year, surrendering an average of nearly 345 yards per game and almost 250 on the ground. Although the pass defense, anchored by defensive backs Chris Hadley and Blauvelt Georges, ranks among the five best in the county, in terms of yardage allowed. ... Lakewood Ranch’s offense, powered by Central Florida-bound tackle Sam Jackson, has struggled, too. The Mustangs haven’t scored more than seven points in a game.
