Palmetto 10, Lake Placid 0 -- The Tigers scored all their runs in the third inning. Austin Hart had an RBI double and Brandon Lam and Harrison Thiel had RBI singles. Jacob Josey pitched five innings and allowed one hit and struck out two to even his record at 2-2. He also went 2 for 3 with an RBI.

Girls lacrosse

Out-Of-Door-Academy 22, Community School of Naples 8 -- Lexi Myers and Tess Sicliano scored six goals each for ODA and Abby LaGasse and Jordan Bruder had four apiece. Chloe Springler had 11 saves.

Softball

SAINT STEPHENS 12, OUT-OF-DOOR ACADEMY 0 -- The hosts lost in Class 3A-District 5 play.

JUCO Baseball

SCF 9, Florida Southwestern 2 -- Ronny Orta earned the first win of the season with seven innings of four-hit ball in Bradenton. He struck out five and allowed two earned runs.

Ethan Skender went 3 for 4, including two doubles, and drove in four. Gerritt Hall added two doubles. Tyler Romanik finished 2 for 4 with three runs scored. Andrew Dilacqua contributed two hits.

SCF (18-10, 3-3) returns to action Friday at home against St. Petersburg College.
