Hurricanes breeze past Osceola, advance to state volleyball semis
BRADENTON -- Manatee is back in the Class 8A volleyball final four for the second straight year after the Hurricanes rolled past visiting Kissimmee Osceola on Tuesday, 22-25, 25-17, 25-17, 25-17.
Manatee (26-4) will now visit the winner of Tuesday's Class 8A-Region 1 final between Winter Springs and Winter Garden West Orange at 2 p.m. on Saturday. The winner of that match will advance to the Nov. 14 state championship match at the University of Central Florida.
Manatee, the reigning 8A state champs, was led Tuesday by Tulsa-bound senior Haley Coulter, who had 15 kills and eight digs.
