Volleyball | Bayshore High loses district championship to Dunedin
DUNEDIN -- Bayshore High School's bid for a volleyball district championship fell short Monday in Dunedin, where the Bruins suffered a 3-0 (25-18, 25-21, 25-17) loss.
Ashlyn Davis led Bayshore's attack with eight kills to go along with three digs and a pair of blocks. Audrey storm added four kills and four digs, while Jasmine Youngthunder collected 17 assists, three kills and a block.
The loss means the Bruins (11-6) will hit the road Tuesday for the opening round of the Class 5A regional playoffs. Bayshore will visit Naples Lely, a Class 5A regional finalist in 2014.
