IMG Academy senior quarterback Shea Patterson, an Ole Miss commit, is one of 10 high school football players from across the country on the CBS MaxPreps National Football Player of the Year watch list at the midway point of the 2015 season.

Patterson, who transferred to IMG over the summer from Calvary Baptist (Shreveport, La.), has led the Ascenders to a 4-0 start.

He's completed 61 percent of his passes for 799 yards, while tossing 11 touchdowns without recording an interception. Patterson has also rushed for 81 yards and a touchdown on 10 attempts.

IMG last played two weeks ago when the Ascenders edged Bergen Catholic (Oradell, N.J.), 59-47, in a shootout. Patterson had two touchdown passes that game, and returns to action Friday when IMG hosts St. Joseph's Regional (Montvale, N.J.) in a 7 p.m. kickoff.

Patterson is joined on the watch list by Bruce Jordan-Swilling (New Orleans Brother Martin), Ethan Falaniko (Anchorage, Alaska, Bartlett), Tate Martell (Las Vegas Bishop Gorman), Nick Bosa (Fort Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas), Levonta Taylor (Virginia Beach, Va., Ocean Lakes), Austin Scott (Spartanburg, S.C.), Sean McGrew (Bellflower, Calif., St. John Bosco), Jeremy Larkin (Cincinnati La Salle) and Dwayne Haskins Jr. (Potomac, Md., Bullis).

In addition, Patterson, the consensus No. 1-rated senior signal-caller is one of six Ascenders receiving his Under Armour All-American game jersey in a presentation later this week.
