Saint Stephen’s, State College of Florida post basketball wins

The Saint Stephen’s Falcons defeated the visiting Community Christian Crusaders 66-54 in boys basketball on Saturday.

Top players for Saint Stephen’s were Ben Schnur (13 points, 10 rebounds); Cade Westberry (12 points, 6 assists, 6 rebounds); Cam Vining (10 points, 8 rebounds); and Ty Barker (9 points, 15 rebounds).

Brandon Hill led Community Christian with 24 points, and Sam Battle had 17.

Saint Stephen’s visits Berkeley Prep at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Juco men’s basketball

State College of Florida 121, Johnson University 79: The Manatees traveled to Johnson University in Kissimmee and won in a rout in their last game of the fall semester.

Andre Jackson led all scorers with 28 points. Miles Wilson scored 26 points and had 17 rebounds for SCF, and Amaru Bryant chipped in 17 points. The Manatees improved to 9-6 on the year and will travel travel to St. Pete College on Jan. 6 for their first conference game.
