Local roundup: Bradenton Christian’s Matelau places first in weight class at girls county lifting championships

Bradenton Christian’s Skylar Matelau placed first in her weight class and set a personal best for the clean and jerk at 190 pounds.

Matelau benched 110 for a total score of 300 at the Manatee County girls weightlifting championships Wednesday at Palmetto High.
