Southeast sweeps St. Petersburg Gibbs with dominant serving

Southeast recorded 31 aces to score a dominating 25-5, 25-13, 25-4 win against Gibbs in its Class 6A-District 11 opener in St. Petersburg. Outside hitter Marline Valcin paced the Noles’ serving performance with 11 aces to go along with six kills. Setter Molly Persson chipped in with 10 aces and three kills.

Southeast (5-4, 1-0) goes across town Monday for a road match against Bradenton Christian.
