Amateur golf | Tom White wins City of Bradenton Senior Championship
BRADENTON -- Tom White coasted to victory Sunday in the 19th annual City of Bradenton Senior Championship at River Run Golf Links.
White earned a three-stroke victory over Adam Zajdel in the rain-shortened tournament that was limited to 27 holes over the weekend. White carded a 35 Saturday and a 69 Sunday for a two-day total of 104. Zajdel shot 107, followed by Tom Clark and Tim Judy at 108.
Guy Warren won the first flight with a 109; Lawrence Elliot shot 112 to win the second flight; David Blackley had 117 to win the third flight; and Fred White won a tie-breaker over Don Cain after both shot 126 in the fourth flight.
In the super seniors first flight, Dick Childress was first with a 110, and Bob Houriet shot 113 to win the second flight of super seniors.
