Lakewood Ranch's Adam Hogue snagged third place in last week's West Florida Golf Tour event at the Bayou Club in Largo.
Hogue fired a 71-69--140 to finish five shots behind Michael Davan, of Rossville, Ill.
Davan collected more than $2,000 for the victory.
The most recent WFGT event saw Davenport's Spence Fulford capture a one-day tournament at the Country Club of Winter Haven with a 68. His one-shot victory earned Fulford $1,000.
The WFGT returns to Manatee County on Thursday with its Christmas Classic, a two-man team event, at Lakewood Ranch Golf and Country Club.
The IMG Junior World Florida Challenge wrapped up at three different courses in the area on Wednesday. Five champions were crowned in various age divisions. The boys 16-18 year olds concluded the 54-hole tournament at the Longboat Key Club with IMG Academy golfer Brandon Wang besting Costa Rica's Paul Chaplet in a sudden-death playoff after the pair were tied with 5-under par 208s.
Taiwan's Ya Chun "Money" Chang posted a 66 on Wednesday to secure a three-shot victory in the girls 15-18s, overcoming a three-shot deficit in the process. Chang's 7-under par 209 came at the Ritz-Carlton Members Golf Club.
The final venue was Palm-Aire Country Club, where Utah's Cole Ponich's 5-under par 211 won the boys 14-15s, Lake Worth's Alexa Pano's 7-under par 209 won the girls 11-14s and Japan's Genki Otani's 8-under par 208 won the boys 11-13s.
IMG Academy's Mika Liu was named a Rolex All-American by the American Junior Golf Association recently. Liu, who won the 2015 Thunderbird International Junior, logged four top-fives en route to inclusion on the girls' first team.
The eighth annual "Reindeer Games" are taking place Dec. 25 at Bobby Jones Golf Club. It's an 8:45 a.m. shotgun start on the British course in a non-competitive event, where golfers are asked to arrive 30 minutes prior to starting. The rate is $28 with a riding cart for the 18 holes, and players receive a $3 discount on a $13 breakfast inside the clubhouse.

On Monday, Dec. 7 at the Greens of Manatee, Mike Stuttie aced the 113-yard 13th hole with a 7-iron. Witnessed by Gerald French.
On Friday, Dec. 11 at The River Club, Tony Dibello aced the eighth hole with an 8-iron. Witnesses were Ed Codelia, Bruce Gilleylen and Bill Lowdright.
