DID YOU KNOW?: The Concession is named after the sportsmanship displayed by Jack Nicklaus at the 1969 Ryder Cup at Royal Birkdale in Southport, England, when he conceded a 2-foot putt to Tony Jacklin that resulted in a tied match between the European and American teams. The Americans retained the Ryder Cup trophy.
Paul Azinger, who captained the American’s to a U.S. Ryder Cup victory in 2008, holds the course record with a 7-under par 65.
