Madcap Moss ready to steal the show and kisses during WWE Sunday Stunner at FLA Live in Sunrise

WWE superstar Madcap Moss and his Madcappers might steal some of the Kiss Cam bravado from Humberto of Los Lotharios during the WWE Sunday Stunner (SmackDown style) at FLA Live Arena, across from Sawgrass Mills Mall on Sunday.

Moss actually might have something else for the arrogant and good-looking Humberto and Angel to kiss — his cheek, the one below his back, not above it.

Joining Madcap Moss in Sunrise/Fort Lauderdale are WWE SmackDown champ Liv Morgan, Natalya, WWE undisputed tag team champs The Usos (Jimmy and Jey), Sami Zayn, The New Day (Xavier Woods & Kofi Kingston), Drew McIntyre, Sheamus and more.

Moss, 32, who starred in football (as Mike Rallis) at Edina High School, helped lead the Hornets to a 10-1 mark and a Classic Lake Conference title. He earned all-conference, all-area and all-state honors in his senior season, after totaling more than 1,500 all-purpose yards and 21 touchdowns. He then excelled on the gridiron on defense at linebacker for the University of Minnesota. He received a tryout with the Miami Dolphins before pursuing professional wrestling/sports entertainment.

Moss signed a developmental deal with WWE in early 2014 and began training at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando. As Riddick Moss, he gained knowledge and a pro wrestling skill set from the talented array of coaches there and the matches assigned on the NXT Citrus Circuit/Coconut Loop throughout Florida.

Moss is named in pro wrestling/sports entertainment after his favorite football player, Randy Moss.

Persevering through injuries, Moss got the call to the WWE main roster in early 2020. He won the WWE 24-7 title. After being sidelined with an injury, Moss returned in late 2021 to align with Happy Corbin, which helped elevate his status. Winning the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal and turning on Corbin set the stage for his latest push.

Prior, Moss worked extensively with NXT alum Dan Matha, NXT alum Tino Sabbatelli, NXT and WWE alum Mojo Rawley, WWE’s R-Truth and NXT’s Mr. Stone. The athletic Moss is a two-time NXT combine champion.

Moss is not the only University of Minnesota alumnus on the WWE roster. He joins fellow Golden Gophers Brock Lesnar, Shelton Benjamin and Gable Steveson. Those three starred in wrestling at Minnesota.

Here is my video interview with Madcap Moss. He discusses his Sunday Stunner matchup, his perseverance, overcoming injuries, Mall of the Americas, football, Randy Moss, hockey, Minnesota, Brock Lesnar, Shelton Benjamin, Gable Steveson and more.

FLA Live Arena is the home of the NHL Florida Panthers, and newly announced NHL Hall of Famer and Panthers alumnus Roberto Luongo is a big WWE fan, who might be there again with his family.

Forget about a hockey fight. If you’re invested in a fight, McIntyre and Sheamus will show Luongo and the Florida Panthers how it’s done with a Sunrise Street Fight.

Fan favorite Liv Morgan will defend the title against Natalya, a skilled standout of accomplishment and longevity. Plus the zaniness of Sami Zayn, the always entertaining New Day, the deserving tag champs the Usos and plenty of other action and fun.

As always noted, card subject to change.
