JUCO baseball: State College of Florida Manatees hammer Hillsborough Community College Hawks

BRADENTON -- The State College of Florida Manatees coasted to a 9-3 win Monday over the Hillsborough Community College Hawks.

Leading the offensive effort were Ethan Skender (4 for 5, three-run homer), Garrett Hall (2 for 4 with two RBIs) and Michael Gizzi (two-RBI double).

Starting pitcher Gabe Moore fanned four over six innings, allowing five hits and three runs (one earned) to earn the victory.

Kade Hunkapillar piked up the save, allowing two hits over three innings and striking out one. The Manatees improved to 14-11 in conference play and 29-18 overall.
