SCF posts wins in volleyball matches

The State College of Florida Manatees on Saturday defeated Eastern Florida in three games and prevailed over Indian River State College in five.

SCF won by scores of 25-16, 25-14 and 25-20 over Eastern Florida.

The Manatees rallied to defeat Indian River by scores of 22-25, 25-22, 15-25, 25-23 and 15-9.

Top SCF players included Eliska Truneckova (21 kills, 35 digs, 40 assists); Jayleen Abregana (24 kills, 13 digs), Henrike Axt (25 kills, three blocks); and Gabrielle Woodson (31 digs, four aces).

SCF’s next match is 6 p.m. Tuesday against visiting South Florida State College.

With Saturday’s wins, SCF improved to 6-16 overall and 1-1 in conference play.
