Daytona stops Bradenton 11-7
The Bradenton Marauders couldn’t outslug the Daytona Tortugas on Sunday night at Jackie Robinson Ballpark, falling 11-7. Jerrick Suiter had his second four-hit game of the season and finished with four RBIs while adding his fifth home run of the year for Bradenton.
A two-RBI single by Suiter in the sixth tied the game, but the Marauders never managed to push the go-ahead run across the plate. Suiter’s RBI hit in the eighth closed the Marauders to within 8-6, but after getting within 8-7 the Marauders were turned away again. Cole Tucker went 3-for-6, his second straight game with three hits and his fifth multi-hit game since July 22.
Up next: The Marauders finish the series at Daytona on Monday with Yeudy Garcia (5-7, 2.67) taking the mound for Bradenton. The Tortugas have not yet named their starting pitcher. The game will start at 7:05 p.m. Listen to the game at BradentonMarauders.com.
