Bradenton Marauders fall to Daytona
A pair of third-inning errors by Bradenton, gave Daytona a lead it would not relinquish en route to a 5-3 win in Florida state League play at McKechnie Field on Thursday in the opener of a four-game series.
The loss was the Marauders (51-45, 13-15) second in a row.
Tito Polo led Bradenton at the plate, going 2 for 5, including a home run and an RBI single, accounting for all three of the team’s runs.
Marauders starter Yeudy Garcia went six innings, giving up six hits, four runs and a walk with five strikeouts, surpassing 100 strikeouts for the season.
