David Ojeda

Freshman, Braden River

To his credit: The Pirates received a big addition with Ojeda, who went 9-1 in singles. Ojeda was Braden River’s No. 1 player, going unbeaten until the state tournament. Head coach James Straub said Ojeda can change his game plan mid-set if needed. Those attributes pushed Ojeda into the top spot en route to leading the Pirates into states.

Fast fact: Ojeda’s favorite school subject is math.

Up next: Plans to continuing to improve his tennis through offseason training.
