Golf Tips with Bradenton Country Club’s Brian Lake

Now that summer is in full swing, there’s no better time to start sharpening your golf games with a new feature to the Bradenton Herald: golf tips from area pros. Bradenton Country Club head pro Brian Lake offers this week’s tip, which is about the takeaway in the full swing to produce power.

“If you’re going to have an efficient swing to create power, the takeway is where it all begins,” Lake said. “So if you lose width (and) extension from the start, you’re not going to have it as you hit the ball.”
