Bradenton Marauders game canceled in Lakeland

Tropical Storm Colin wiped out the Bradenton Marauders’ series finale in Lakeland on Monday. Bradenton defeated the Flying Tigers in three previous games, before Monday’s game was postponed due to inclement weather.

The game will not get made up as it was the last scheduled meeting between the two sides this season.

The M’s are off on Tuesday, before resuming Florida State League action with a four-game home stand starting Wednesday. Bradenton hosts the Tampa Yankees for the four-game series.

The Marauders lead the South Division by four games over the Charlotte Stone Crabs, while Tampa leads the North Division by 3 1/2 games over the Clearwater Threshers.

The first-half division winners qualify for the playoffs.
