Shuffleboard | It's a lot like Christmas on the court
A song on the radio announces, "It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, everywhere you go." Churches, families, stores and displays are very much into the Christmas spirit this week. Children are on best behavior in case Santa is watching.
How about shuffleboard? Do we have the Christmas spirit?
Only two weeks ago, players were heard saying, "A draw tournament is like Christmas morning: a new partner is like a gift: a surprise, possible friendship, partnership which could grow into a long-term relationship ..."
The true Christmas spirit is gift, peace and goodwill. It can be a good fit, Christmas and shuffleboard. If players are grateful, friendly and helpful, much happiness and good may follow. If we can treat others better on Christmas week, why not keep it up all year? We have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
