Braden River High School nips Venice 2-1 in girls soccer behind 'spectacular' goalkeeper
VENICE -- Braden River High School defeated Venice 2-1 Thursday in girls high school soccer.
Joanne Gigliotti scored the Pirates' first goal.
Megan Wagner scored the game-winner in the second half and assisted on the first goal. Kennedy McNab assisted on Wagner's goal.
Goalkeeper Amber Dion posted eight saves and "four were spectacular," said coach Don Engleberger .
Braden River improves to 5-4-1 overall and 3-2 in district play.
