Joshua Floyd scored 27 points and dished out six assists to lead State College of Florida to a 100-97 overtime victory over host Indian River College on Wednesday night in Ft. Pierce.

Floyd sent the game into overtime when he knocked down two free throws with three seconds left to tie the game at 88.

The Manatees got 22 points from Harrison Hebert, who drained six of 12 attempts from 3-point land and Reshard Brown who grabbed 10 rebounds and scored 20 points.

The Manatees (4-5) are home in a 4 p.m. Saturday game against Florida National University. IRC dropped to 6-4.

Boys Basketball

LAKEWOOD RANCH 70, MANATEE 35 -- The Mustangs remained undefeated after four games by thrashing the Canes.

Sam Hester and Evan Stiller were red hot from beyond the arc, knocking down a combined 7 of 10 attempts. Hester finished with a game-high 18 points (4-for-5 3-pointers) and Stiller had 13 points (3-5 3-pointers).

Justin Muscara added 11 points for Lakewood Ranch and Jack Kelly pulled in a team high six rebounds for the Mustangs. Winless Manatee dropped its third game of the season.

BRADEN RIVER 70, SARASOTA MILITARY 41 -- Braden River jumped out to a 16-point first quarter lead and coasted to an easy victory.

Deoni Cason scored 15 of his team-high 18 points in the third quarter to lead the Pirates (4-1) and Parker Golemo chipped in 10 points. Daniel Tart, Tyler Dyson and Ryan Duncan had 10 points each. SMA's Chris Gough took high-scoring honors with 19 points.

Boys Soccer

SAINT STEPHENS 1, MANATEE 1 -- Saint Stephens took a 1-0 lead with 15 minutes remaining in the match when Alex Virgilio connected on a goal with an assistant from Jon Boyd. Manatee tied the game at 1-1 with five minutes left on a penalty kick.

Chris Morrish had five saves for Saint Stephens (3-0-2), which plays host to Bradenton Christian at 7 p.m. Thursday.
