Brown's big shot lifts State College of Florida past Pasco-Hernando

Reshard Brown's reverse layup with 5 seconds remaining was the go-ahead basket in a dramatic 100-98 win for the State College of Florida over visiting Pasco-Hernando State College on Tuesday.

The 3-6 Manatees got Brown's clutch bucket on a designed inbounds play, then saw PHSC miss a desperation 3-point attempt from near halfcourt at the buzzer.

Harrison Hebert poured in 29 points including nine 3-pointers for SCOF, while Brown and Joshua Floyd each finished with 21.

State College of Florida returns to action at 7 p.m. Wednesday against Palm Beach State, then has another home game at 4 p.m. Saturday against Santa Fe College.
